"On a scale of 1-10, I give Sara Littlefield a 12!
On a scale of 1-10, I give Sara Littlefield a 12! Prior to selected Sara Littlefield, we had listed our home for sale--unsuccessfully--with two other agencies/realtors in Darien. Through experience, we learned that a sales agent's sales record, marketing programs, negotiation skills and team approach were key to a successful sales transaction. Sara's background was a perfect match for all the criteria--and more. Sara's team approach prior to launching our home was invaluable. I don't know how I would have prepared the house for showings without her team's help. Her staging and pre-inspection processes prior to listing were invaluable and made the entire process seamless. Her extensive contacts in the industry and with the builder community helped enormously. Her guidance throughout the negotiation process sealed the deal. We sold our property for 95% of asking price in December 2009, which was a much more challenging market than our prior two listings periods. We would recommend Sara Littlefield for any sellers looking for a successful and seamless sale in 2010! Sincerely, Jim Buchanan, Owner Lucky Lawn

Remodeling and Renovations >Remodel Or Move
Your family has outgrown your home but you have roots in the community that make it difficult to leave. Is remodeling the solution?
Get professional advice before you jump into a major renovation project. Decide what changes you want to make, and get bids from several contractors. When you have an estimate on the cost of the project, talk to your real estate agent to determine if these changes will be cost-effective. Over-improving your home may make it difficult to get your money back if you sell it soon.
It is a good idea to talk with friends who have remodeled to get a realistic picture about working with contractors and to determine how disruptive the project will be to your family life. Remodeling a home is a major undertaking, so be sure that it is the best solution for you.
